The first Area Creator event was held on July 31, 2022. After enduring a long pandemic period that restricted the creative industry's movement, the public's longing for a large-scale offline event finally paid off. Cre:HA Project successfully launched the inaugural edition of its pop culture festival titled Cre:HA Area Creator I.
Strategically collaborating with Lippo Mall Kuta as the venue partner, this inaugural event became a milestone that initiated the revival of the pop culture scene created by Cre:HA Project on the Island of the Gods (Bali). Visitor enthusiasm proved to be incredible and truly "explosive," given the high euphoria of an audience that had long awaited the return of direct interaction at a post-COVID pop culture event.
For partners, Area Creator is not just a weekend entertainment event, but the initial ecosystem for a real creative economy. In this first edition, we successfully partnered with 20 Circle Booths and Community Booths.
The presence of these booths serves as proof of the potential for micro-scale economic circulation within a single space. In this area, Bali's local creators and communities received excellent facilities to resume marketing their original works, networking, and interacting directly with an enthusiastic audience.
The main stage of Area Creator I was designed to be a center of attraction that captivated the audience, while also serving as a platform for local talents to showcase their skills. The event was enlivened by various Cosplay Dance Cover performances, DJs, and bands featuring local talents in Bali. This dynamic event composition ensured that audience retention metrics in the event area remained high from beginning to end.
As part of Cre:HA Project's commitment to producing outstanding creators, Area Creator I also made sure to present competitions for creators, specifically focusing on cosplay creators for this edition. We invited Takashin Reisa as a judge for the Cosplay Competition and Cosplay Walk.
The presence of a professional judge figure not only elevated the competition's credibility but also provided sustainable educational value. They directly gave detailed feedback to motivate many cosplayers in developing their skills. This approach proves that our event functions as a positive talent incubation platform.
